Inductosyn

Our Inductosyn encoders have proven themselves for over 60 years under many extreme conditions such as space, aircraft, ships etc.
There are both linear and rotary Inductosyn sensors.

Technology:

• These encoders work through inductance modulation, just like a resolver. They are however multi-pole and much more accurate than a resolver (typically <10”)
• The electrical interface is similar to that of a resolver: sine-ware excitation at typically 10kHz, position detection by means of an R/D-converter
• These systems can measure angle or linear movement, incrementally or absolute
• They can be supplied on different substrate materials (aluminium, steel, glass, ceramic etc.).
